Designed in the Italianate style with inspiration taken from the Ca’d’Zan, the Sarasota home of John and Mable Ringling, the clubhouse features the traditional building materials of the region – light colored stucco, painted columns, and a Mediterranean tile roof. The clubhouse sits high above the surrounding area and provides panoramic golf course views.
The Grill, Private Dining Room, and Banquet Facility enjoy unparalleled views of the Lakewood Ranch championship golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. The Formal Dining Areas provide intimate and elegant spaces for evening meals, private dining, and formal business functions. The Ringling Room is a cozy library and sitting room finished with a wood floor and stained wood beamed ceiling. Throughout the clubhouse, the interiors are decorated with elegant furnishings, and lightly stained or painted wood trim. Both the Men’s and Women’s Locker Rooms feature raised panel maple lockers, ample wet areas, and each features a Private Lounge/Card Room.
Adjacent to the locker rooms, the golf shop is designed to offer first class service and merchandise to both members and guests of Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club. Golf carts are located in the lower level of the clubhouse along with members’ bag storage and the cart staging area.
The project also included the addition of two free form recreational pools to the existing resort pool. In addition to the new recreational pools, a children’s splash fountain and a tower slide were added for hours of entertainment for families
